Kayla Drajpuch

Kayla Drajpuch, Staff Writer

My name is Kayla Drajpuch (she/her/hers), I’m a junior, and I am a staff writer for the Arts and Entertainment section of The Evanstonian. I have been on staff for three years. I love writing for A&E because it gives me an outlet for all of my opinions on books, movies, and television (of which I consume copious amounts). In my free time, I run cross country and do congressional debate. Outside of school, you can find me listening to Courtney Barnett, reading, and hanging out with my friends. (Very occasionally, though. Introverts unite!)

Ethical consumption in a materialistic world

Kayla Drajpuch, Assistant Arts & Entertainment Editor September 17, 2021

This summer, I had the opportunity to go to sleepaway camp for seven—yes, seven!— weeks. I packed my life into two black duffel bags and set out for Oconomowoc, Wis.. While I was packing, I had to...

‘Sour’ and female representation in music

Kayla Drajpuch, Assistant Arts & Entertainment Editor August 16, 2021

I walked through the crowded doors of my middle school, headphones blaring, feeling sophisticated. The music playing in my earbuds was classic, the greatest of all time, perfect. In music, these terms...

Stephanie Mendoza While many Evanston residents are not aware of the commitments of a city clerk, that is not for lack of importance. The city clerk is responsible for records and helping people obtain...
