Our Goal
Your donation will support the student journalists of the Evanstonian. We are planning a big trip to the Journalism Educators Association conference in Nashville in November 2025, and any support will go towards making that trip a reality. Contributions will appear as a charge from SNOSite. Donations are NOT tax-deductible.

About the Contributors
Nate Schmeckpeper, Assistant Sports Editor
Hi! I’m Nate Schmeckpeper . I am a Sophomore and one of the Assistant Sports Editors for the Evanstonian, last year I was a staff writer for the sports section. I like writing for the Evanstonian because it lets me look at sports games from a different perspective than I would have previously. Besides the Evanstonian, I play baseball and run cross country at ETHS. Outside of school, I like hanging out with my friends, playing sports, and drawing.
Liam Race, Staff Writer
Hi! My name is Liam Race (he/him). I am a sophomore and this is my second year on the Evanstonian staff. I am a staff writer for both the opinion and sports sections. The Evanstonian is a great way for me to not only grow my love for journalism and writing but also to become part of a supportive community of people who share my interests. Besides writing for the Evanstonian, I play football and tennis, serve as a student ambassador, and enjoy going to concerts, collecting records, and spending time with friends.
Avery Stroth, Staff Writer
My name is Avery Stroth (she/her). I’m a sophomore and staff writer for the Evanstonian. This is my second year on staff. Freshman year, I only wrote for the Opinion section but now I am broadening my horizons with A&E. I am looking forward to working more with the A&E editors and highlighting the arts around our community. Outside of the Evanstonian, I participate in theater right here at ETHS. I also volunteer with the Justin Wynn Leadership Academy. For fun, I read and watch movies.
