Hi! My name is Keira Beaudoin (she/her). I’m a junior, and I’m the Assistant News Editor. This is my third year on the Evanstonian, and I have previously been a staff writer, mostly writing in the News section. I love working on the Evanstonian because it helps me both connect to my community and become a better writer. Outside of the paper, I swim at ETHS, am an Emerge facilitator, compete on the math team, and am an Integirls board member. In my free time, I like to read, write, and spend time with friends.

Hello! My name is Pearl Anderson (she/her), and I’m a writer for the feature section of the newspaper. I’m a Freshman, so this is my first year on staff, and I’m excited to be a part of the Evanstonian. Through the paper I hope to learn more about my school and community while also becoming a better writer. At school I play Flag Football, and am a part of the book club. For fun I love to watch movies, bake, do crafts, and spend time with my family and friends.

Hi! My name is Owen D’Anastasio (he/him). I am a freshman, and I am planning to write food articles for the Evanstonian. Outside of the Evanstonian, I do ultimate frisbee club and community service club. Some things I do for fun outside of school are baking, hanging out with friends, and playing frisbee.

Hi! My name is Nia Henderson (she/her). I am a freshman and a writer on the sports section. This year, I was excited to join the Evanstonian because I wanted to help out writing the newspaper and enjoy writing. I am taking Intro to journalism this year as my elective to help me get knowledge in journalism. I have danced for 11 years at Dance Center Evanston. I also play golf on the ETHS girls golf team and run track. Outside of school, I like to hangout with my friends and watch tv.

Hi, I’m Alex, a freshman news writer for The Evanstonian, a welcoming space where students can explore many different perspectives and expand their understanding of the world. Outside of journalism, I’ve been playing volleyball for five years, including two at the club level, and I’ve been a pianist since I was seven. At ETHS, I’m involved in The Evanstonian, Community Service Club, and Speech and Debate. Beyond school, I’m passionate about law and politics and learning about current events and policy discussions.
Hello! My name is Claudia (she/her). I am a senior, and I work in the art section; this is my first year doing Evanstonian! Someone mentioned this opportunity to me, and since I love art, I couldn’t pass it up. Outside of Evanstonian I play hockey, row, powerlift, and am on board for YAMO. Beyond ETHS, I also work at Francesca’s. Besides school activities, I love listening to new music, drawing, running, and reading. My favorite book is Turtles All The Way Down by John Green, and my favorite album is For Emma, Forever Ago by Bon Iver.
