The current editorial board is excited to introduce the incoming 110th executive board members: Natalie Weinert, Charlie Edwards, Ryder Bingaman, Jonah Wright, and Rory Lehman. Throughout their time working together, these editors have demonstrated a passion for journalism, exemplified strong leadership, and built up the Evanstonian community.
“I’m hoping to build off of this year’s momentum. I want to work towards a collaborative environment where everyone feels supported,” said Natalie Weinert, next year’s Editor-in-Chief. “I’d also like to get writers more involved in the process, from coming up with story ideas to arranging everything on the page.”
Ryder Bingaman, selected as Print Executive, shares Weinert’s views regarding the Evanstonian’s meaningful community.
“When I came to ETHS, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. However, joining the Evanstonian allowed me to discover my love for writing and journalism,” stated Bingaman. “Throughout my years on the staff, I learned valuable skills that won’t just help me in my educational career but also in life. I will cherish every moment on staff and am excited to help new members experience a similar feeling.”
Co-working with Bingaman next year is Jonah Wright, filling the second role of Print Executive.
“I am super excited to work with next year’s editorial board, which is full of creative, awesome people,” said Wright. “I’m eager to see how our team expands the Evanstonian to continue being interesting and relevant.”
Taking on the role of Managing Executive, Charlie Edwards is excited to work towards his goals and collaborate alongside his fellow staff members.
“My goal is to continue to grow the paper, maintain our amazing community, and to look for improvement in other aspects of the Evanstonian,” said Edwards.
Rory Lehman, recognized for her strong social media and crossword-making skills, will be managing the digital section next year.
“What I’m most excited about for next year is building a strong sense of community among our new editorial board and staff,” said Lehman. “I’m also looking forward to the growth of the Digital section with the new digital assistant editor roles, as well as the opportunities for collaboration and creativity that will come with it.”
The ‘26-’27 school year will be one filled with growth for the Evanstonian as the incoming board gets ready to step up into their new leadership positions.
“The Evanstonian community is special. I’m really excited about next year’s board and am confident we’ll continue to provide students with news they can count on,” said Weinert.
