Kaloyan Mirtchev has been playing sports his entire life.
Like every other kid, his parents signed him up for every sport to see which one he liked the most. But at an early age, the people around Kaloyan could tell that volleyball was the sport for him.
Now, many years later, he is taking his talents to Quincy university, a Division II school here in Illinois.
“One of my top goals for next season is to start as a freshman. That would be really cool and a great experience for me,” said Kaloyan.
Kaloyan was quick to credit his family and the people around him who helped this dream become a reality for him.
“My parents have really helped me get to where I am today. They pushed me to practice and get better when I wasn’t in the mood,” said Mirtchev. “My club and school coaches have always been there for me and always supported me.”
