On March 12, 2020, ETHS closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic: a shutdown that was originally supposed to be two weeks. Two weeks became two months, which became almost two years of quarantine.

Summer in music

This past summer, ETHS students enjoyed many different types of live music. Musicians such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Drake came to Chicago along with all of the performers at annual music festivals Lollapalooza, Summer Smash and Pitchfork Music Fest. Our Goal

Your donation will support the student journalists of the Evanstonian. We are planning a big trip to the Journalism Educators Association conference in Boston in November 2022, and any support will go towards making that trip a reality. Contributions will appear as a charge from SNOSite. Donations are NOT tax-deductible.

Clara Gustafson, News Editor
Hello! My name is Clara Gustafson (she/her). I am a junior, and the News Editor and, this is my second year on staff of the Evanstonian, last year I was a staff writer. I write for the Evanstonian because it has shown me how much I enjoy  writing, and it is such a fun and  supportive community to be a part of. Outside of the Evanstonian, I swim for ETHS, am part of the yearbook club, and I am a Student Ambassador. In my time outside of school, I love to hang out with my family and friends, and I like to spend time outside!
