Hi! My name is Sylvia Jacobsen (she/her). I am a freshman and this is my first year writing for the Evanstonian. I currently write for the News section and look forward to writing more pieces over the years. I joined the Evanstonian in order to improve my literacy, journalism, and social skills as well as to meet new people and find passion in new territory. I also play cello in the string orchestra, take part in community service club, and take part in yearbook club. In my free time, I enjoy painting and playing music as well as doing anything with my friends!
