My name is Aldric Martinez-Olson, I’m a junior and this is my first year writing for The Evanstonian. I have dabbled before but I’m happy to be back! Outside of the paper, I’m involved in Community Service Club and Student Union. At home I’m usually cooking, playing with my dogs, or watching old cartoons. My identities as a multiracial and queer teen have greatly affected my writing. Although I’m not interested in professional journalism, The Evanstonian has given me an outlet to express my ideas through writing and actually be listened to.
