The pep in the rally

The biggest football game of the year means hard work and dedication for the cheer team. As students get ready to rally together, the girls prepare for their stunts.

“With this being my last year and many others on the team, we have been striving to make this fall pep rally one to remember,” senior Hannah Afolabi said, “especially adding new tricks we know the crowd will like.”

Along with perfecting their old routines, the team looks to spice up their performance to spark the crowd’s attention.

“We started doing some different stunts than usual, working on our tumbling, and our dance will be really cute,” senior Mia Testa said.

Along with homecoming, the cheerleaders are looking to prepare for the winter season, which includes the competitions.

“Since the summer we have worked on many things for the school year and competition in the winter,” Afolabi said. ‘It’s a lot of work but what we’ve come up with is new and refreshing.”
