Tonight the Boys Hockey team will square off against Highland Park, a familiar foe.

“Last years game against Highland Park was very physical, evenly matched and I expect it to be the same this time,” said junior right winger Joe Epler.

The team is very young but knows what needs to be done in order to come out on top tonight. “We need to match their physicality but not commit any penalties. We also need to capitalize on as many of their mistakes as possible,” said Epler.

Highland Park will also be returning two of the league’s top scorers from last season. “We just have to limit their scoring chances and outwork them, and if we do that we should come out on top.” explained junior center Isaiah Ricketts.

The team is looking to have a very successful season, as they have built chemistry over the years. “Most of us have been playing together since elementary school, so we know how each other plays. We just need to re-establish our chemistry early in the season and learn how to work in our lines.” said Ricketts.

“With a young team we understand that every game will be close and down to the wire and that people will try to overpower us. We just need to dial in and play hard for all three periods to be successful,” said Epler.

Make sure you go to Robert Crown at 7:55 p.m. tonight to see the match.
