Sophia LaFleur, Staff Writer

Hey queens! I’m Sophia LaFleur (they/she) and I’m a senior. This is my first year writing for The Evanstonian (late to the game, I know), and I have only written for the Opinion section so far but I may branch out. The Evanstonian has been a great way for me to ask for and use the feedback I get on my writing, which has helped me perfect my personal statement college essay. I work at Union Squared (the pizza place, come visit me!) and occasionally babysit. In my free time, I play the cello, make collage pages, cook and experiment with my newfound love of painting my nails.

Sophia LaFleur, Staff Writer October 14, 2022

College is a looming prospect that many seniors (myself included) must come to terms with sooner rather than later. But in addition to the anticipation of going to college, I have recently found myself...

Opinion | It’s not easy being green: How perception shapes our reality

Sophia LaFleur, Staff Writer September 23, 2022

Green Fruit Loops taste different from the red ones even though they have all the same flavoring. The colors really don’t serve any purpose beyond making a decorative, more exciting bowl of cereal than...
