Noah Nelson didn’t arrive to the city of Evanston until 3rd grade. Although when he did, he fit right in.
“I moved in from Chicago in 3rd grade and played EBSA for my 12u and 13u years. I’ve enjoyed playing with such a tight-knit group ever since.”
Noah chose to go to Morehouse because he wanted to follow the path of his father, who graduated from the school in the year 2000.
“I’ve always known about the school thanks to my dad, and it makes me excited that I get to forge my own path at such a great school.”
Once Nelson knew he wanted to continue to play his baseball career, he started emailing around to coaches who might be interested in his talents. But when he finally set foot on Morehouse’s campus, it turned out to be a no-brainer of a decision.
“In November, I went down to Atlanta for the HBCU baseball showcase, and I toured the campus, talked to the coach, and it was just a place that I really enjoyed being around. I have family down there, too, so the whole situation just made it a really easy choice for me.”
Even though Noah will miss all of his teammates who have grown with him over the past 4 years, he’s excited to improve his game and see where life takes him.
“I’m excited to refine my game at the next level, and learn more about my life along the way.”
