Girls Bowling kicks off their season on November 17 and are excited to bring the heat to their conference. The team has progressed very far in the past and is working to rebuild their team this year after losing some star seniors.
Coach Zoe Landolt says that they have a “relatively young team this year” so she is looking for her athletes to bring a competitive attitude but mainly for the space to be a positive environment.
The team has made it to state the last two years and has hopes to try and hopefully make it a third.
“Last year was a great year. We tied New Trier for the CSL championship,” said Landolt.
“Yes, we graduated four seniors, which is why we are now pretty new. They definitely made a big impact on the program in terms of skill, but also leadership.” states Coach Landolt.
She is looking for Senior, Jordan Gibson and Junior, Axel Truax to step into these leadership positions and help guide the team to success.
“I think there is a real possibility we will advance beyond regionals as a team., but we’ll have to see what our sectional tournament has to offer,” remarked Landolt.
