We are planning a big trip to the Journalism Educators Association conference in Nashville in November 2025, and any support will go towards making that trip a reality. Contributions will appear as a charge from SNOSite. Donations are NOT tax-deductible.

Hello. My name is Makeda Hausman, and I am the Assistant Opinion Editor for The Evanstonian. I am a junior here at ETHS, and this is my third year on staff. Being a part of The Evanstonian for the past two years has provided me with a wonderful community to grow my passion for journalism. Outside of school, I love to travel, read, and consume any sort of caffeine.

Hi!! My name is Ryder Bingaman (he/him). I am a junior and the section editor for the opinion column. Last year, I was a staff writer for the Sports section. This year, I am excited to grow the opinion section and help writers create stories that are informational and speak to them. Outside of the paper, I am on the Varsity Rowing team and love helping out in the community. Additionally, in my free time, I love working out with my friends and playing pick-up football.

Hi, my name is Rory Lehman (she/her/hers) and I am the Social Media Editor and a Crossword Creator. I am a junior and I am really looking forward to my third year working on The Evanstonian! Beyond The Evanstonian, I am a member of Student Council, Student Ambassadors, Community Service Club, and I play on the ETHS Girls JV Tennis Team. In my free time I love to channel my inner Rory Gilmore and read, write, and go to coffee shops with friends!
