Key players return to boys hockey team

Seeking revenge.

ETHS boys’ hockey looks for payback against Warren on Oct. 14 in Gurnee with the addition of new players.

On Sept. 12, the boys played Warren in a tournament and suffered a loss in which Warren dominated, 4-1.

“They out-skated us and out-shot us,” said goalie Charlie Bailey, “that was only

our second game as a team, and we were still learning how to play with each other.”

ETHS was at a big disadvantage for
that game, as they were missing three key seniors. Robert James and Nick Lydon were on the golf team, while Henry Rodriguez was away on a college visit.

Even though ETHS will be getting these players back on the ice, they may be a little out of shape.

“It will take me and Robert a little time to get conditioned, but after a few weeks we

should be fully back,” said Lydon. Because 11 seniors graduated from last

year’s team, the team is very young this year. The team is compiled of nine under- classmen.

The team is off to an average start with a record of 2-2-1, after two losses against Warren and Libertyville. The team has won against the Kings and Latin.

In the next few weeks, the Kits will play Libertyville and Lake Forest, a team they went 2-0-1 against last year.
