The Evanstonian

Onyx York
My name is Onyx York (a.k.a. Carrington) and I have been an opinion writer for the Evanstonian for the past two years: last year as an editor and now, as a columnist. I’ve been a performing spoken word poet most of my life, allowing me to be witness to how words inspire movement and encourage change. I believe in the power of journalism as more than a facet of communication but as a tool for justice.
