With a generous alumni donation, ETHS will be renovating and revamping its weight room during the summer of 2019.

Michael Arrington’s (‘61) $330,000 contribution, along with $200,000 from other donors, will contribute to the construction. The primary update will be the purchase of new equipment and installation of indoor turf.

The facility will be named the Michael B. Arrington Wellness and Performance Center in honor of Arrington’s contributions.

“The new Arrington Wellness & Performance Center may be the most significant facility improvement we’ve ever made towards increasing the performance of all of our athletic programs at ETHS,” Athletic Director Chris Livatino said.

While open to all ETHS students, the implementation of programs like the new Sports Specific Training class will benefit greatly from the improved facilities.

“With the new Sport Specific Training course offered in PE next year, our student-athletes will have the opportunity to train year-round without having to pay for a fitness club membership,” Livatino said.
