Hello! My name is Maria Syrgianni (she/her). I am a sophomore and this is my first year writing for the Evanstonian. I am a writer for the Arts & Entertainment section. I write for the Evanstonian because journalism is something that I am passionate about and I  hope to pursue. I play violin in the ETHS school orchestra and I have been playing violin for ten years. Outside of ETHS I am in Orpheus Dance Troupe, which is my greek dance group, and every Saturday I work at the Hellenic American Academy as an assistant teacher. In my free time I love to read books, watch tv, go shopping and go out with my friends.
