University of Wisconsin-Madison
Jamie Donohue’s career at ETHS was short, but she will bring her E-Town pride to Wisconsin when she plays Division 1 soccer.
“I knew I wanted to go to a Big Ten school when I started thinking about college, but when Wisconsin reached out to my club coach after seeing me at a showcase I was really surprised,” said Donohue.
Donohue committed to play for Wisconsin at the very end of her sophomore year, and chose not to play for Evanston for her last two years as a Wildkit.
“I decided it would better to mimic the conditions of playing in college, stuff like traveling all the time and practicing almost every day,” said Donohue.
Donohue plays for Sockers FC Chicago.
“Our high school team has a really great attitude that I will for sure miss,” she said.
University of Pennsylvania
As senior track star Reggie Murphy II heads to the University of Pennsylvania this fall, there are some serious records he is leaving behind, not only at the high school level but at the state level as well.
“I have been running track since the fourth grade and have never stopped loving it,” explained Murphy.
Murphy, a varsity runner since his freshmen year, won the 100 meter dash all four years at the regional level, which is something that has never been done before in Illinois.
“My family and friends played a huge part in my decision. Coach Mitch knew I always wanted to run track at the college level and made sure it became a reality.”
University of Lafayette
As the dust settles around his senior season, Evanston’s lacrosse captain Jack Lydon has an uphill battle on his plate. He is going to be a D-1 athlete. Lydon chose to commit to the University of Lafayette in Easton, Pennsylvania.
