Prom dresses can cost several hundred dollars, but with the eighth annual Dreams Delivered program, you won’t have to spend nearly that much.
The Dreams Delivered program, created by the Woman’s Club of Evanston, provides new and gently used prom dresses to ETHS students for free.
“The program began because the Woman’s Club identified an interesting situation: many young women let beautiful gowns and dresses sit in their closets year after year going unused,” said Mary Collins, Community Service Coordinator.
The Dreams Delivered Prom Boutique will take place April 20-22. During those days, Dreams Delivered will set up a makeshift store, where they will provide prom dresses.
The Woman’s Club of Evanston reports that at last year’s prom, it was estimated that nearly 30% of girls were wearing dresses from Dreams Delivered.
The fashion show will be held on March 30 during all lunch periods, where students can see some of the prom dresses on display in Beardsley Cafeteria.
